lets hear it for nouns! lol
Yes, it brings back so many cool memories. It’s funny because I just watched the one on adverbs/adjectives and now I finally understand how they work. Ha ha ha ha
I remember them all from my childhood. Always on between saturday morning cartoons. Back when cartoons were only on saturdays
peace, love, and nouns
watched this is freshman writing a couple weeks ago. i like it but the adverbs one is like my favorite!
yippie… Some of the Schoolhouse Rock tunes, Rocks!! This video and audio looks and sounds great, so it makes it a pleasure to watch. Thx, for the upload.
i have this on VHS somewhere… hella old.
this song is good for kids so the learn there nouns
cooooooooool
the beatles and the monkees….lol…..I remember when I first saw that in the 70’s…..
pls can smne put all the lyrics here cause I„m not english speaker and I don„t understand all very well, especially when the song is sang very fast. thanks a lot
because a noun IS a person place or thing, Jesus what else would it be DUMBY
Dumb - Dumb,; the song is stating the any person , place or thing is a noun —— it doesn’t say anything thing else can be a noun.
While that is true, you gotta remember this is made for kids, so why not let them believe that a noun is just a person place or thing? They can just get into all those messy details like Abstract Nouns when they are older.
i actually did pretty good on my test from this
Excellent idea. Good luck. This Schoolhouse Series was one of the highlights on Network TV in the 1970’s. It brings back memories.
Glad to see that this song is being taught in school.
I hope the test turned out well for you.
@2:09 my most favorite part, the girl dancing!
those words are abstract nouns
A cute video like all of the Schoolhouse Rock series, but modern linguists recognize that the term “noun” cannot be so neatly defined as a “person place or thing”. Here are some examples of “things” which are not really things at all: “courage”, “emptiness”, “darkness”, “two”, and “red”. (”Two” is a noun? Example: The guests arrived in twos and threes.)
nice vid
We must start sending ABC emails, demanding they resume airing “The Bugs & Tweety Show”, followed by “School House Rock” at 11AM on Saturday mornings.
Kids shouldn’t be deprived of these great programs.
i have a grammar test tomorrow this helps
my class learend this song. we watched it in school lol
